How Private Lessons Work with The Music Teachers Network
Whether you are learning piano or getting guitar lessons for kids, private lessons in your home are a fantastic alternative to driving to a group session or a lesson at an instructor’s studio. It’s more than comfort and convenience – it’s peace of mind.
Here is how the process works:
- Request lessons online or call us (800-880-7280)
- We match you with a screened, trusted MTN instructor
- We schedule your first lesson
- With Pay as you Go: You pay only for the lessons you take, just give us 24 hrs notice to cancel - you are billed at the end of the month
- With an 8 or 16 week Prepaid plan, you are billed in advance, and have the advantage of discounts
- Use our online lesson tracking tools and call us if you ever need assistance
Music Teacher Qualifications
Instructors with The Music Teachers Network are carefully screened and complete a 5-step qualification process, including application, talent survey, reference check, interview and background check. Our instructors make music lessons fun because of their warm personalities and high-energy approach. Many of our teachers have degrees in music and years of teaching experience.
Who Gets Private Music Lessons with The Music Teachers Network?
-
Our private lessons attract families that prefer the security, privacy and convenience of in-home music lessons with engaging instructors
-
Many of our beginner music lessons are taken by children. Two siblings often share a 60 minute lesson, each taking 30 minutes. Single children and children over the age of 12 take 45 minutes learning piano or another instrument each week
-
Lessons for teens and adults often last 60 minutes to ensure you really learn to play
-
We also have many families that take lessons together with the same teacher. With kids and adults, family lessons last between 90 minutes and 2 hours a week and provide an excellent way to set aside that extra quality time busy schedules often take away
